Frances “Patricia” was born in Cambridge MA in 1921 and raised in Watertown in her early years. She later moved to Burlington where she grew up on the family farm. Patricia met her future husband of 54 years, James “Bud” Spencer at Simonds Park in Burlington, just up the road from her home, where they enjoyed playing tennis and a 5 cent grilled cheese sandwich. Bud was a lifelong resident of Woburn, where he was born and raised. They were married in 1942. Bud served in World War II with the U.S. Army Corps from 1942 to 1945, assigned to the Panama Canal Zone, rising to the rank of Master Sergeant.
Upon returning from the war, Pat and Bud made their home in Woburn where they raised their eight children: Patricia, Kathleen, Judith, Diane, James, Thomas, Carole, and Janet. The family is predominately spread out across the United States. There are fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Bud was the president of JJ Spencer and Sons Construction Company, and in his later years worked as a security guard for several companies. Our Miller Bible has to be the Aunt Barbara authored family history, that compilation, as well as Bobby's diary, will eventually be potentially accessible via this site.
This website and our reunion plans are both infant stage.
This is a work in progress...
